The CLATs
The CLATs are a standard size. Each is 34 inches long is is made from the same Northeast Ash as are all of the Louisville Slugger bats. They are very much like a fungo bat in that the swing is much quicker than a heavier (and thicker) ball bat
We use an identical putter head in each. Many people like the fact that the additional weight produces a 'pendulum' type feel to the swing - but for those that golf as well, you will note that it is much heavier. Some golfers use it while playing.
Of course, what makes these CLATs special is the branding that is burned into the mid-section of each - "Louisville Slugger". We have found that the clats hold up very well considering the golf ball does have an extremely hard surface.
Yes, there is still a 'sweet' spot and yes, it feels great to 'connect'.
